You know, its funny. I took so much care in making sure the turning was accurate because I knew I would get comments, but I still get emails about it.

It is always from their own perspective. I started them out with their back to the camera so it would be less confusing. After the first two turns their back is no longer to the camera.

So the camera move to be in front of them right in the middle of the dance? It's hard to tell as the background, the shadow and their position between each other don't change :/.

Here is my generic reply to the emails about this:

No, from the perspective of a character with their back to the viewer, D
turns them to the right. This is why I made the characters put their backs
to us before turning, and drew white lines above their head to accentuate
this. Gigz starts with her back to the reader, thus A turns her to the
left, she then turns all the way over to the right with D, and is now
close to facing the camera. She readjusts and moves towards the camera
with W, and backs up with S.

Ironically, I took very careful measures with the logistics to ensure my
very investigative fans would not find fault in it, but I fear these
measures may have backfired ;)

Thanks for reading,

ooooooh, now I see. It's always from her perspective, BUT also with "us" as a public of the dance(sorta). Therefore, instead of showing her back with the moves, it's aesthetically better that she show her front to us,hence she's doing a U turn when pointing to left and right. Then keep the change so we can still face her for the two other directions.

Sorry to piss you about that, key :/

I use WASD with my left hand, and the arrow keys with my right hand. I'm a double keyboard turner.

Pressing A and Left Arrow at the same time makes you turn faster, surely you know about this trick, Mr. K.

But what about us left handed people who use arrow-keys because wasd is uncomfortable? :(

Actually I use my numpad because it lets me strafe. Probably can fiddle with buttons around there a bit more but it seems to work fine.
I'll think of something witty to put in here at some point.
