Only Narya can give bucket-rope stilts the ability to crush a city.

Every WoW villain to date should have just hired Narya.

Arrgh...

"If you think....you have another think coming."

Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine. And yes, I know it's a hopeless cause because so many people are wedded to using the nonsensical construction of "thing." Just like trying to convince people it's "could've" and not "could of." :/

I've long since retired from retail, but I'll keep this sig up as a memento to the fun I had there.

A wide spread controversial topic which both sides are right, but in this case he is threatening and the thing instead of think is more aggressive posturing.

And then Judas Priest came along and changed everything. I think in the case of this specific phrase, you're fighting a losing battle, as the usage of "Thing" is now far more commonly used than "Think". You have to realize that languages change. Every word is a bastardization of an earlier form of that word. The same goes with many phrases.

I don't think I would put "another thing" on the same level as "could of," as one is just grammatically incorrect. However, given enough time, if "could of" becomes more common colloquially than "could have," we may lose that battle too.

I just learnt a new English expression thanks to that comic :D

I see that English also has its endless battle of wrong but common usage vs correct. Sometimes those battles have to be lost, because more important ones are at stake.
In French, you have examples such as:
- unimportant battle: "Y a t'il" (incorrect) vs "Y a-t-il" (it means "Is there [...]?")
- important battle: "sa" (his/her) used instead of "ça" (it), both being pronounced the same (equivalent of the "their/there" mistake, I guess)

Oh wait, there is a comic above! What do I think about it? xD
Well, the clones are really surprising, as always. Narya should try to learn more about the clone protocols: it could save many innocent lives. x)
Also: where does the clones' power come from? Shouldn't they be lvl 60 or so ?

The English phrase is "you have another think coming" rather that 'thing'. As in, if that was the first thinking, then you have another think coming to you.
