My idea for Narya's (Or Miji's, but I said Narya because Miji has one) catchphrase:
"Nothing says Engineering like a 20% failure rate!"

No, during the AQ gates farming period, the lead guild on the server was doing a raffle contest where they would randomly award 1000 gold each day to one of the people that turned in their AQ-farmed stuff through the guild. I forget the specifics, but 1000 gold was a lot more money then than it is now, even if some people still shrugged at that amount. I, however, was perpetually poor and hadn't bought my epic ground mount at that point.

One of the places the Alliance was especially deficient was Linen Bandages, so I set out to farming them. I probably farmed a good 4000 linen cloth across a span of about 3 days, and I ended up winning one of the raffles. Keydar did the comic as a tribute to that event while the comics were still just being put up as [ img] links on our guild boards with the simply text "Grats Arc."

The most popular place to pick up linen was Ragefire Chasm, and the comic goes on the assumption that that's where I was heading. (Why else would I be looking for linen in Orgrimmar?) However, I actually did all my farming in Ameth'aran in Darkshore, and would try to get newbies to follow me around and do my looting for me to speed up the process. They got to keep everything but the cloth. I showed up for raids every day that week converting cloth to bandages and would routinely ask as we were waiting to start if anyone else minded helping me -- I could only make them so fast myself -- so the guild was well aware that that was the way I was making my mark.

So you could say I got my alloted one "cameo" pretty early on. I doubt you'll see my character again since the jokes Keydar has done with a hunter have involved some dwarf that I can only assume is an alt of his. I'm happy with my moment of posterity, though -- I won't be getting in the other line. ;)

He actually ignores people now?! It used to be "WTF <insert random DL member name here>" followed by whatever it is you weren't doing right and how to correct it. ie: "You don't need to use bandages! lern2dr00d!"

:D
