That was awesome, Keydar. I doubt that was a subtle nod to my new job, but seeing "exercise 3-27..." and knowing I have more work to do tonight before the week begins, it was definitely what I thought of when I saw it.

And I'm sorely tempted to try to work this into a lesson, even though I'm teaching geometry.

I was just lookin at it and I suddenly got this irresitible urge to get inside... No... not just an urge. More than that. It was my destiny to be here! IN THE BOX!!

So far I've spent almost 300 gold on repair bills.

Finally got the achievement yesterday after all, at one of te platforms near the backdoor of Karazhan.

Current amount of gold spent on repair bills: 350. I'm an addict.

Haha great comic, I love the way they always are so up-to-date with the game.

And your math is perfect btw, couldn't resist double-checking it :)
The formula for distance covered at constant acceleration:

Distance[m] = 0.5 * Acceleration[m/s^2] * Time[s]^2

65 = 0.5 * 9.81 * Time^2

Time = 3.64 seconds

The formula for velocity at constant acceleration:

Velocity[m/s] = Acceleration[m/s^2] * Time[s]

Velocity = 9.81 * 3.64 = 35.7 m/s

ACTUALLY there is one minor flaw in this comic :>
I'm not from the US
I never used "yards, chains" etc in math we use the metric system (YAY)

Now look at the WoW Client
English version:
Skillname 10 yards

German version:
Zaubername 10 meters

They didn't even try to convert the numbers into metric :> in wow 10 yards = 10 meters

and the German Free Fall Achievement says "fall 65 meters without dying"
great comic though :D

the fall achivement is so simple you get pally to buff you with blessing of protection or you can jump of the zepplin at one point and get it and survife. because we are supposed tp barly survife 65 yards but I think a bit over that we die :)

anyhow great comic.

Well druid was easy, kitty form off of Thunder bluff.
Mage was easy. Ice Block off of Scyer Tier.
Warrior cheated with a pally bubble.
Priest did it legit. However I DID discover that the new 51 point talent Guardian Spirit does NOT protect you from a killing blow caused by the ground. It must be a bug. :wink:
