They really should change wintergrasp so it only dismounts you when you're flying over the keep :/

i did this around 10 minutes after alliance controlled the keep, i landed in a mess of 40 or so ppl ganked me.

Here's how it should work in my opinion:

Your faction controls Wintergrasp - Free flying over the whole zone.

If a battle is currently being fought, you may not fly down outside of WG Keep and dismount to prevent people divebombing each other. Trying to dismount a flying while in non-keep WG territory teleports you inside the keep. You may not remount while in WG territory during a battle, since there's no reason to dismount while there anyways except for joining the battle from inside the keep.

Your faction does not control Wintergrasp - Free flying except over the keep.
Practically the same rules during a battle but reversed, however you can only dismount in your attacker bases and not over the whole area - you guessed it - to prevent divebombing. You can probably figure how I'm thinking now, so I won't be making any more wall of text :-)[/b]

Well, I think the reason that Blizzard didn't implements this is because then people would be able to reach the keep with a mount of 280% or even 310% speed (in rare cases). Considering that vehicles go much slower, that wouldn't really be fair.

reason why you can't fly in wintergrasp is because pvpers whined about world pvp being nothing at all now when you can just fly away. which is why blizz gave them a pvp only zone with no flying mounts.

also making some sort of globe over wintergrasp so people passing can just fly above it would be nice D:
