Which quests you refuse to accept?

Postby Trania » Mon May 25, 2009 1:33 am

The topic title says it all: which quests do you refuse to accept? OF course it's more fun when you explain why you hate it so much. :)

I personally never take quests that involve a lot of travelling. Even though I am a mage, those quests are usually not worth the trouble. Going from Theramore to Feralas without a flightpoint (the only good thing is that you'll get that along the way) to kill 3 creatures... in the same time you do that your friend can boost you an entire level up through Zul'Farak!

I do take messenger-quests sometimes, though it can be tiring, especially in Darkshire where you are running between 3 npc's and basically doing nothing. Free XP though, so no real complaints.

I'm usually stubborn on the low-drop quests. I keep on grinding until I have the item. The fact that my boyfriend keeps telling me it's silly probably makes me even more stubborn!

With the animal-killing, I got especially annoyed when I was a young and unexperienced mage with mana-issues. I didn't feel much better when I levelled my priest, because the priest couldn't conjure water or evocate. Only after I got a hunter and a rogue I learned to appreciate these kind of quests.

I don't have a problem with group-quests, but they actually have to add something. Ring of Blood and Amphitheatre of Anguish are groupquests I really enjoy.
Obviously, there's always a Donald that accepts the next one before the rest turned in their quest, but luckily the Elites go down fast and grand a lot of XP.

I personally dont like the quests you get to do things in other places when i can easily stay there and do the quests there
for example the quests that tell you to go to Stonetalon in Ashenvale

also i HATE doing escort quests so far with my priest
i have only done 1 and i died during it too

i try to avoid the ones that involve killing lots of animals. Especially ones that require killing of yellows.

i'll accept any type of quest generally

however, group quests tend to sit in my log untouched if they can't be soloed and then are eventually abandoned when i find more interesting things to do

Group quests, Im not antisocial or anything, its just impossible to find groups now a days. Its especially hard when you have a boat load of them, because few people want to buckle down and do a whole bunch of those one after the other, this is part of the reason I didnt like Icecrown.

Icecrown group quests are ease. A decent gear 80 can solo most of them. Comming from a fury warrior!

That against the giants was by far the easiest quest I've ever done, spines dropped each time they died and they were easy to get in a 1v1 match.

I don't mind messenger or escort quests. I didn't even mind too much doing quests for the ass-hole druid leader back in vanilla wow that required traveling to un'goro and back a few times.

The only one's that I've refused are DEHTA quests. I have always hated murlocs and as soon as I saw murlock quest givers and realized DEHTA = PETA, I abandoned the quest and left.

Escort and Low droprate quests always bore me quickly, so i tend to abandon those or simply refuse them.
