If my parents became ill however I'd probably either stay here, or take a temporary move to scandanavia.

Right where I live now, in beautiful NYC.
If I had to move, it would probably be to Denver, Chicago, or Berlin if I spoke German.

Guess what guyz, its the same here.
I mean, you expect what, little cities with everyone happy eating in restaurant?^^

If you go in Paris,it's like all the metropolis.With the poor, rich, historical quarter, etc...
As for the food though, with my family who went multiple times in USA and an uncle who works at las vegas , I can say that the food is better, mostly for vegetables and fruit (they are also cheaper).
