Saw the movie, and it was amazing.
Alot of my friends said it sucked, but I personally love scifi.
Want to see what you all think.

Oh well, I'm guessing that this thread will perish in about a week, so...

I saw it, it was amazing. The effects were stunning. I wasn't/is not into Star Trek, but...damn. Great movie.

Maybe it can go in everything, but so can most general threads.
I liked mainly how everything looked in the movie, it was stunning, and the acting was great.
I also was not a major Trekkie before I saw it, in fact, I've only seen about 20 ST shows.
Still a must see imo.

Absofuckinglutely not. This movie deserves its' own thread! I finally had the time to go and see it today. Imo, they did an awesome job. I'm not spoiling it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but I like the way they explained the changes in happenings. Yes, I am and have always been a Trekkie. :P

Teaches you to try to derail it.

I might go see it again this weekend, also might see the Battle for Terra just for kicks.
Guys movie night out ftw.

Derail? How? I was trying to keep a thread from getting locked/sunken before anyone really started to use it.

Anyways, I plan to see the rest of movie soon. The power went out in theatre about 5 minutes in.

Saw it, thought it was good. Still, TDK and Milk were the best films I've seen this year.

Not a big Trekkie, but it was better then I thought it was going to be! It made my top 5 of 09 easily.

I loved it and I'm not even a big Trek fan.

But I have to say Karl Urban WAS Bones, he really nailed that role.
