I have successfully made nice lines in PS7 >:3

Started out lookin' like this.

Gradually became this.

I figured it was done when it got to this point.

But then I started playing around with the hues (originally I wanted yellow lines anyway) and settled for this.

WHATCHA THINK? :3 Whole thing took me about 7 hours.

Unfortunately no matter how hard I try, I can never seem to make myself a nice Western style for drawing people. Dragons and any other anthro-ish thing that comes to mind I've got down, however. :l I have another thread on here somewhere with a few dragons and some dogs I drew and uploaded. They're camera-phone quality.

Edit: Here it is.

The dogs and dragons are in the links in a later post. There are some birds in the OP though. :D I like birds. And dogs.

Except anime-style drawing, of course.

You know, there's really nothing wrong with it. It's just popular with people who have no skill with it, so we put it down. I'm sure that if western cartoons were this popular, we'd hate on them too. F YOUR SHIZ, MAINSTREAM.

Besides, I kind of like this style for drawing people where I have it right now. It's not -exactly western-, but it's also not -exactly anime-. The only reason I kind of like anime style is because it can be anatomically correct and you can still be crazy with it, like cartoons.

Or maybe I'm just being Weeabane.

It's not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just I'm more exposed to and have a preference toward the more realism-based stuff. Especially Batman: The Animated Series...oh god yes. Anime-style art seems to just be over-saturating the drawing styles these days because it's not as ground in reality and not as hard to do as the gothic, gritty realism.

Nicely done. Yeah it seems like anime/manga art style is taking over the Western world but still, everyone will have their own personal style of drawing.

Very well done. Lines are crisp and vector. Eyes look a bit empty, but that's all. Anime style art, though not the most complex subject, turns out beautiful and is a great place to start with art. *approved*
