Spammers and User Purging

Postby Keydar » Sun Dec 17, 2006 10:25 am

Hey guys,

I just purged a lot of silent spammers from the memberlist, generally users who had 0 posts and links to a website in their profiles. I tried to make sure the users I was purging had inappropriate websites linked.

If you find you were one of those members and I deleted you by mistake, you'll have to recreate your account. Again this only affects users who had a linked website and no posts.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Keydar

Sorry to necro >< but ...

There has been A LOT of this happening lately, namely accounts being created with 0 posts and link to malicious sites. Maybe it's time for another cleaning? :? They've kind of messed up my cpu...

well we only have a few very active members, but there are plenty of people out there with post who are not spammers (go to memberlist, search by "total posts" and see how many pages before 0 posts)
