Starcraft II

I received a beta key for SC2 a few days ago and the game is absolutely amazing. Anyone care to share some thought about it? What race do you prefer and what tactics do you usually use?

Zerg .

Nothing can stop me now for i will be the queen ! Wait .. what?
If I touch a burning candle I can feel no pain
In the ice or in the sun it's all the same
Yet I feel my heart is aching
Though it doesn't beat it's breaking
And the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real

Yeah, the zerg are awesome. I like to torment my opponent with constant attacks and finish him with broodlord/corruptor combo if the game lasts long enough. It's almost uncounterable!

I had my beta key since march, and the only thing I don't like about it is that there is no chat channels.... wtf

Other then that, I like playing with all 3 races. Practiced a bit with protoss and my friend showed me how to properly macro.

Hmm, are those channels really needed? I mean, we have various SC forums for discussion and looking for 2v2 partner, etc. We spend 95% of the time on battle.net on the game itself anyway...

When I play the zerg, I tend to surprise the enemy with a big baneling rush (20-24 banelings). Yes, I know that it's a bit late attack for a zerg, but it's very hard to repel even if he manages to see that I have baneling nest. Infrantry (even stalkers and marauders) and wall-in buildings go down in nanoseconds, then I still have plenty banelings for his workers :).
After that I either send some zerglings to criple the enemy even more (if his army was completly destroyed) or get some mutalisks for further harrassment of his workers. If I manage prevent him from expanding, his lose is inevitable.

Well it is up to you to find a 2v2 partner your way, I just want to talk to people and just screw around like I use to in trade chat, or old SC chat.

Hopefully they'll have cross region(Korea, London, etc)
When the game comes out..

Dunno, it looks like Blizzard don't want to implement them at all. Maybe if more people complained about that...

I wasn't lucky enough to get a Beta key, but from videos I've seen online it'll be an amazing game.
Any nerd (like me) that want's to get a head start on other players, but doesn't have a beta key, look up HDstarcraft or Huskystarcraft on Youtube. They cover some professional level games, you should be able to get a basic understanding on build orders and some nice tricks for when the game finally comes out.

I choose not to partake in Starcraft II. I'm just not a Starcraft fan. Maybe it's just that I'm more into fantasy than science fiction, but as far as RTSes go I'll stick to the War side of the -craft games. Or Age of Empires II.
