This felt like a rehash of that very PA comic to me, actually.

Ugh, yeah, they are pretty similar. It was definitely unintentional, and had I read that specific PA comic in the past I wouldn't have written this one to be honest.

It's one of the reasons I don't read other gaming comics. I'm too worried one of the jokes will work its way into my subconscious. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop me from accidentally coming up with a joke that someone's already done (which is a less likely occurrence, but it happens).

It's definitely one of my biggest fears when writing a comic. It has happened before (the one about disenchanting in front of NPC's faces), and it definitely feels super crappy. Its basically a feeling of unoriginality and guilt all rolled into one. :P

Kudos to Penny Arcade though, they did a great job with that one.

Hey, funny is still funny, no matter who told the joke first. Plus, sometimes it happens. I'm sure PA's done a strip similar to one someone else put out before them.

That Penny Arcade strip, and subsequent conversations, actually created a huge controversy: http://debacle.tumblr.com/post/30419408 ... a-timeline At least you don't have to deal with that :p

It's inevitable that ideas are going to repeat, spanning over several different comics strips about the same game. Whether the artist saw the other comic or not.
After all, this IS about WoW and its' playerbase!

Actually, totally unintended. I literally just thought he would point out bluntly that he wasn't human. I'm sure there's a youtube video somewhere of a dwarf in a cage too. :p
