The background isn't supposed to be anywhere specifically, I just drew a generic dungeon. 
Basically, WoW has a platform game aspect to it in a lot of ways, and there's always a handful of raiders here and there who must have sucked at Mario Bros. Specifically though, the Thaddius fight from Naxx comes to mind. I recall there being a small jump before engaging him, which someone inevitably would miss. This was the 40-man Naxx, I don't recall if the Wrath version had the jump as well.

It most definitely is still there. I know this because I'm usually the one to fail at it. -.- (We're doing it as 85's, though, so it hardly matters. :3)

Haha, didn't think of Mario Bros. at first glance ; reminded me of the old Prince of Persia game, running under DOS. 
'Tis also true that the gap between the platforms and boss zone was a good way to determine whoever had a psychomotor disorder... Haha. (Not once do I remember everyone in a 25-man raid reaching the otherside on their first try)

Does anyone else actually here the Mario jump sound when they look at panel 9?

Hi !
This makes me kind of think of me and the rolling stones in Zul'Gurub (revisited)... I think I have managed to pass them once, by luck. I have also died many (many many) times. But normally I just stay down and wait for it to stop. My guild makes fun of me (and so do I !). The jumping from one platform to another is easier, though. (It only goes badly when my space-bar doesn't co-operate... and no one ever believes it !)
(Anyway, my first post on this forum but I've been following the comics almost since the beginning. Some of them still makes me laugh my butt out...^^)

He pressed and held the down button until he started flashing for a special high jump.
He speaks about himself in the third person.
